Assignment at Scania AB’s KETS department (engine development, Industrial & Marine). I was responsible for design changes on the engines in the end of the development cycle. I worked as both an assignment leader and a design engineer and managed over 40 deviation and improvement projects. Main responsibilities included documenting deviations, root-cause analysis, analysing and measuring, designing, generating prototypes, test assembly and implementation of new parts on the engines. I also participated in QA-meetings, design methodology improvement groups, updating of Scania Standards and had contacts with suppliers. I mainly worked with five and six cylinder engines but also V8’s. There was a lot of specific customer adaptation of the engines. Customers like Patria who make AMVs (Armored Modular Vehicle).
